Hotel Kingaling Punakha
This hotel was really good for those who were on a short break with friends and family. The scenic views were simply awesome from the windows of our room. One has to be a little healthy and fit since the rooms were all below the floor level and you need to climb up the steps every time you need to come up or take a walk. Rooms were well cleaned, spacious and airy. It’s a nice option for stay in Punakha. This hotel has multipurpose hall, conference hall, a bar and a spa. Most of the rooms of the hotel have wooden flooring. Room had no wi-fi facility. Free wi-fi facility was available only in reception area. All rooms had attached bath and balcony. In my room I found cable TV, complimentary bottled water, phone, tea/coffee maker.
The hotel was good with basic amenities, and offered a good view of Punkha Mountains and valleys from balcony of the room. We enjoyed the beauty of river from your room’s windows. There was a big parking facility for our vehicle also.
The hotel had decent services including a restaurant that serves Indian, Continental and Bhutanese food. Food quality was good and proper Indian food was available. They provided ale carte and buffet both.
The hotel was maintained by two ladies. Staff was very nice and helpful. Also hotel is very conscious about reuse and recycles. The staff also helped us carry the luggage to the rooms as they were situated on downhill. They provide taxi service on call but that is chargeable.
