This week, in India, getting out and exploring anything is like a crime. Or better, not on your list at all. With the novel coronavirus outbreak, traveling is majorly being discouraged. All public transport system has been canceled and self-quarantine for the period of 14 days has been advised by health officials. For the uninitiated, self-quarantine involves individuals or families staying within their homes and avoiding any physical contact with that outside. Quarantine also means not going to work, classes, malls, events, or any other social gatherings. And well, as far as travel is concerned … na, zero, no. So switch on your streaming services put on your bermuda, get that bowl of popcorn to play these movies, and binge! 1.Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara- Spain,India, Egypt & UK
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a 2011 Bollywood road film that was directed by Zoya Akhtar. The film features Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin. The music was composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy with lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
The film’s story follows three childhood friends, Arjun, Kabir, and Imraan, who come together for a three-week road trip. Throughout their journey, each friend picks a dangerous sport for the group to participate in. The film had a worldwide commercial success and received critical praise for its performances, story, music, humour, and direction.

2. Jab We Met – Mumbai, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh
Jab We Met is a 2007 Indian romantic comedy film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor with Dara Singh, Pavan Malhotra and Saumya Tandon in supporting roles.
Primarily based in Mumbai, Bathinda and Shimla, Jab We Met tells the story of a feisty Punjabi girl, Geet Dhillon, who is sent off track when she bumps into a depressed Mumbai businessman, Aditya Kashyap, on an overnight train to Delhi. The film became a success at the Indian box office as well as overseas.
The film fetched several awards, among which was a National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer awarded to Shreya Ghoshal for the song Yeh Ishq Haaye, which remained a chartbuster for many weeks. A perfect match for your quarantine days.

3. Dil Dhadakne Do- France, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey and Italy
Dil Dhadakne Do is a 2015 Indian comedy-drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar. The film features an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar, with a voice-over performance by Aamir Khan as the family dog Pluto, the narrator of the film. The film tells the story of the Mehras, a dysfunctional Punjabi family who invite their family and friends on a cruise trip to celebrate the parents’ 30th anniversary and later reconcile.
Much of the principal photography was done on Pullmantur Cruises’ ship MS Sovereign while sailing across the Mediterranean and Europe, and on land in France, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey and Italy.
The soundtrack was composed by the trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. It received five Filmfare nominations, winning Best Supporting Actor for Kapoor.

4.Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayengey – Europe
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, also known by the abbreviation DDLJ, is an Indian romance film, directed by Aditya Chopra. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The story revolves around Raj and Simran, two young non-resident Indians, who fall in love during a vacation through Europe with their friends. Raj tries to convert Simran’s family therefore the couple can marry. The film was shot in India, London and Switzerland.
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year 1995, and one of the most successful Indian films in history. It won 10 Filmfare Awards and the National Film Award for Best Popular Film.

5. Hadh Kar Di Aapne-Europe
Hadh Kar Di Aapne is a 2000 Indian Hindi comedy film directed by Manoj Agrawal. The film stars Govinda and Rani Mukerji. Raju (Govinda) is a detective who is hired to help his friend Sanjay (Nirmal Pandey) prove that his wife is having an extramarital affair so that he can divorce her.
Sanjay’s wife Anjali (Ritu Shivpuri) also has suspicion that her counterpart is cheating and hires her friend Anjali ( (Rani Mukerji) to search for proof of extramarital relationship and then to easily file for divorce. The couple has long been separated, each one knowing that their spouse has moved to Europe with their boyfriend/girlfriend.
In Europe, detective Raju meets the other Anjali and they fall in love but get into a fight later on because Raj thinks that Anjali is already married to his friend Sanjay, which Anjali tries to explain to him that she is not married.

6. Tamasha- Corsica
This Imtiaz Ali film has become a cult classic years after its release. The film brought to life the beauty of the Mediterranean island of Corsica. It also talked about how traveling can make you wiser and help you open up to strangers. It is an Indian romance film features Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film music was composed by A. R. Rahman, while lyrics for the songs were written by Irshad Kamil.
Shot in Corsica, Indian cities–Shimla, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Kolkata; followed by a two-day schedule in Tokyo, the film tells the story of character Ved Vardhan Sahni (played by Kapoor) in three stages–as a nine-year-old child, a 19-year-old adolescent and a 30-year-old adult during a drama-based non-linear screenplay.
The film received nominations for direction, music and performances of the lead actors, notably Kapoor being nominated under the Filmfare Award for Best Actor category. Padukone won the Stardust Award for Best Actress and Irshad Kamil won the Filmfare Award for Best Lyrics for his lyrical work to the soundtrack album of the film. End pasand nahi aaya? Badal do!
7. Bombay to Goa (1972) – Goa
Bombay to Goa may be a 1972 Indian adventure-comedy film directed by S. Ramanathan, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Aruna Irani in lead roles, Shatrughan Sinha as the main antagonist and Mehmood. The movie is understood particularly for its catchy tunes. It was a huge success at the box office. Bombay to Goa was remade in 2007 with a similar title, with an ensemble cast of comedians.
Story is of Atmaram (Nazir Hussain) and his wife (Dulari) is turned upside down when they see their daughter, Mala’s (Aruna Irani) pictures in a magazine. They arrange for Mala’s marriage with the son of Ramlal (Agha). Mala is against marrying anyone who she has not met, and is at the same time thrilled that the 2 persons she trusted, one Verma (Shatrughan Sinha), and the other Sharma (Manmohan) had actually submitted her pictures to a magazine, and were now willing to sign her up for a Bollywood movie.

8. Road- Kutch District of Gujarat and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan
Road, an Indian movie directed by Dev Benegal, and starring Abhay Deol, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and Satish Kaushik. This film romanticizes the location and makes you fall in love with the place. An old truck beckons, which, Vishnu sees as his ticket to freedom. He offers to drive the 1942 Chevrolet across the desert to the ocean, where it’s been sold to a neighborhood museum. As he triggers across the tough terrain of desert India, Vishnu discovers he’s not merely transporting a battered vehicle but an old touring cinema.
Abhay Deol signed on to play the role of Vishnu after reading the script which he found “really nice, dreamy and humorous.” Filming took place in desert areas of the Kutch District of Gujarat and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.
9. Anjana Anjani
Anjaana Anjaani is a 2010 Indian romantic comedy-drama film directed by Siddharth Anand stars Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra as two suicidal strangers who meet and make a pact to kill in twenty days on New Year’s Day Eve. In the interim, the couple fulfills their personal wishes and eventually falls in love. Vishal-Shekhar composed the soundtrack, with lyrics by various artists. Vishal and Shekhar were nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Music Director for the film’s soundtrack.
10.Piku – Delhi and Kolkata
Piku is a Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar and stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Irrfan Khan, with Moushumi Chatterjee and Jisshu Sengupta portraying supporting roles. It tells the story of the short-tempered Piku Banerjee (Deepika), her irritable, aging father Bhashkor (Amitabh), and Rana Chaudhary (Irrfan), who is stuck between the father-daughter duo, as they board on a journey from Delhi to Kolkata.
Anupam Roy composed the soundtrack and score and wrote the lyrics. Critics praised the screenplay, performances, humor and overall simplicity. The film was nominated for Best Film in the 61st Filmfare Awards, as well as other categories. Padukone won her second Filmfare Award for Best Actress, and Bachchan received his record-setting fourth National Film Award for Best Actor at the 63rd National Film Awards and his record-setting third Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance.
