Pangong Lake is Ladakh’s most important tourist attraction. This sapphire stretch of Lake is situated at a height of 4350 meters and looks as if it is a piece of heaven that fell on earth. Surrounded by barren mountains, this lake is perhaps one among the foremost lovely lakes in Ladakh. Its waters, which seem to be dyed in blue, stand in unadulterated contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to virtually a hundred and sixty kilometers, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China.
