Most noteworthy, Bangaleeana Restaurant Kolkata is pocket-friendly in comparison to other authentic Bengali restaurants. A small and cozy place for authentic Bengali food. Above all, taste is superb. Consequently, the cost is pocket friendly. But food will definitely satisfy your taste buds. Not much waiting time as staffs are fast to complete the order. We ordered plain rice, mung dal, alu jhuri fry( Very thinly grated crispy fried potato), echorer dalna ( raw jackfruit curry), steam Katla, Aamer chatni, aam doi, and also mineral water. Therefore, per plate costs Rs. 450 (lemon gondhoraj and green chilly are free ).
It would be a shame if one did not use their hands to eat their food here. The walls of the Bangaleeana Restaurant Kolkata are hand-painted and the entrance has black-and-white posters of old Bengali movies. The bestselling item on their menu is the Bengali Thali @ Rs 699 that comes with pulao, rice, begun bhaja (brinjal fry), shukto, jhinge aloo posto, sona moong dal, pabda shorshe, mutton kosha, chutney, raj bhog, and Nolen Gur-er ice cream. One drawback is that the restaurant is located on the first floor which can create a problem for those who have trouble in walking.
